Input box cosmetic hotfix

There were 3 cosmetic issues with the text input boxes that got fixed.

[fixes]

- Clearing out the text in an input box would sometimes cause text to draw over itself in the box
- Highlighting text and deleting would cause highlight to show in strange ways
- Sometimes the input cursor would continue to blink after an active input box was closed
